The services behind the button

No single service turns a photo into a character that walks. This is the chain between them, and who does which part.

No single service turns a photo into a character that walks. One is best at the mesh, another at the skeleton, a third at animals, a fourth at running it all on a GPU you do not own. FormFromLight is the chain between them: it hands each step to the service that does that step best, checks up front which rigger a mesh can take so you are not charged to find out, and puts the result in a viewer you can turn, rig, animate and export from without leaving the tab.

That is what the combination buys you. A generator alone gives you a static file. A rigger alone needs a clean mesh it did not make. Together, with the pipeline deciding per model which route works, you get the whole thing in one place · and every file it produces is yours to download in any format, on every tier.

Creature rigging & animation Anything World

Rigs and animates the animals and creatures the humanoid riggers refuse. Their processing API is what makes a four-legged model move here.

Studio-tier generation & humanoid rigging Tripo

The image-to-3D engine behind the Studio tier, and the rigger and motion retargeting behind humanoid characters in Studio.

Fast-tier generation TRELLIS

Open-weights image-to-3D from Microsoft Research · the model behind the Fast tier.

Retexture & remesh Meshy

Retexturing, quad remeshing and the fallback rigger when the primary one declines a mesh.

Hosted inference fal

Runs the generation models on GPUs so that FormFromLight, and you, need none.

In-browser viewer three.js

Every model you see turning on this site is drawn by three.js, under the MIT licence.
